The prestigious award for up-and-coming jazz talents was organized for the 25 th time by Codarts Rotterdam, the Friends of Codarts Foundation and Nedspice. of RTM, filmmaker Joysi Olijhoek presents the audiovisual project Jazz Impressions of Rotterdam . Using archival footage, the project offers a new view of the city, shaped by Olijhoek’s rhythmic, playful [...] and visual style. The short film will be accompanied live by five jazz students from Codarts. Jazz Impressions of Rotterdam shows a city in motion. Construction cranes, trams, bicycles and ships blend [...] skyline. By combining archival footage of Rotterdam with live jazz music, the project creates a dynamic and contemporary portrait of the city, in which film and music reinforce each other.
