Performing Arts Medicine
The professorship Performing Arts Medicine brings together performing arts, sports and science.
Performing Arts Medicine
The professorship focuses on applied scientific research on physical and mental health in elite dancers, musicians, circus artists and athletes to enhance their performance. More than 1,000 national and international performing artists and athletes are monitored with our online health monitoring tool.
The research group Performing Arts Medicine (Prof Janine Stubbe) resorts under the programme line Excellence and Well-being. This research group started in 2015 and brings together performing arts, sports, care, technology, and science. Its focus is on practice-oriented research into the physical and mental health of dancers, musicians, circus artists, and athletes, in order to prevent health complaints and improve performance.

Performance Lab
The professorship Performing Arts Medicine and Student Life have created a valuable new training opportunity for Codarts students to work on tensive performances.
The Codarts Performance Lab is an innovative simulation lab which uses image, sound and surroundings to simulate a performance on stage. The lab allows you to practice stressful performances, auditions or presentations in a safe, but realistic environment.
