Codarts telt ruim 1.000 studenten, met circa 65 nationaliteiten, en ongeveer 420 medewerkers. We werken op drie locaties binnen Rotterdam. Na afloop van de grote finale van het concours in Amsterdam brengen de finalisten hun muziek naar Rotterdam om samen te spelen met onze studenten. Onder leiding van de Iraanse ud- en barbat-speler en onderzoeker Negar Bouban verdiepen de Global Musics-studenten zich in instrumenten uit de ud-familie en verwante instrumenten langs de Zijderoute. Het concert brengt diverse muzikale tradities en benaderingen samen en viert de rijke klanken van deze bijzondere instrumentenfamilie.
