In this performance, Codarts' talents showcase a selection of the best that contemporary dance has to offer. The dancers, from all parts of the world, present a unique programme of solos, duets and group pieces - drawn from existing repertoire and new work by top international choreographers and young choreography talents. With this performance, we conclude a successful theater and dance season and also give a taste of what the Talent On The Move Tour 2026, in collaboration with Holland Dance Festival and Droom en Daad, has to offer. They bring repertoire from their own culture and tradition around the theme "Freedom and Peace. Artistic director Monica Akihary (winner Boy Edgar Prize 2023) thus creates one overall performance with beautiful contrasts and surprising connections. Performing choirs and artists are Cici Isenia & Choir, Cantorij Delfshaven, Wendy Teixeira, Emine Tokail & Mevlüt Akgüngör, Khorshid Dadbeh and Madhu Singh.
The talents play in the orchestra and are accompanied by conductors and other musicians. They also take part in education and chamber music projects. The aim of the orchestra academy is to prepare the talents and give them experience in orchestral practice. Tuba student Yanyi Zeng (student of Hendrik Jan Renes) has been accepted at the Academy for season 2024-2025.
