Tuition fee guide

By following the schedule below, you can determine step by step how much tuition fee you have to pay to Codarts.

  • Step A

    Do you have the nationality of a country which is part of the European Union (EU), Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Suriname or Switzerland?

    • Yes
      • Continue to Step B.
    • No, but the Stichting voor Vluchteling-Studenten UAF is paying my tuition fee.
      • Continue to Step B.
    • No, but my residence permit entitles me to apply for Dutch Study Finance accourding to WSF 2000 (check https://duo.nl/apps/nationaliteitenschema/index.html#/en).
      • Continue to Step B. 4.
    • No and I do not satisfy the criteria above.
      • You pay the institutional tuition fee. 
  • Step B

    Did you obtain a Bachelor or Master degree (or equivalent thereof) after the academic year 1991 – 1992 at an educational institution in the Netherlands?

    • No.
      • Continue to Step C.
    • Yes, and for the college year 2016 – 2017 enroll for one of the following programmes: Bachelor of Education in Music, Bachelor of Education in Dance, Master of Education in Arts and the earlier obtained degree is not in the field of education or health.
      • Continue to Step C.
    • Yes, and I started my program at Codarts before obtaining my degree and studied at Codarts continuously.
      • Continue to Step C.
    • Yes, and I do not satisfy the conditions B2 or B3. You pay the institutional tuition fee.
  • Step C

    You pay the statutory tuition fee.

Second study

If you are enrolling for a second programme (secondary enrolment) while you have already paid your tuition fees at another university or university of applied sciences, you may be eligible for a reduction or exemption from the tuition fees at Codarts. In this case, send an original Certificate of Paid Tuition Fees, to Codarts, University for the Arts on behalf of ASC. It is not possible to submit a Proof of Paid Tuition Fee afterwards for a refund of tuition fees already paid. Please note: a Proof of Paid Tuition Fees cannot be used for registration as an external student.

Examination fees external students

Enrolment as an external student at Codarts Rotterdam is only possible with the approval of the Executive Board. If you register as an external student, the following rules will apply:

  • You will not be allowed to attend the regular master of bachelor programme;
  • you are only entitled to take examinations of the modules of the programme;
  • you are not entitled to make use of facilities;
  • you are not entitled to a refund in case of (premature) deregistration.
