Je beheerst een goede plectrumtechniek. Op het gebied van tokkelen weet je de juiste basistechnieken toe te passen. Basisakkoorden weet je op minstens twee posities te vinden. Je bent in staat min7-, maj7- en dom7-akkoorden te spelen en te vinden. Je kunt akkoordenschema’s met de meest voorkomende akkoordsymbolen (ook a prima vista) spelen. Je kunt soleren / improviseren over een eenvoudig akkoordenschema. Je kunt een gegeven melodie harmoniseren, of op gehoor een (deel van een) lied begeleiden met functionele akkoorden. Je kunt alle noten in de eerste en tweede positie (met voortekens) lezen. Je bent in staat om ritmes te kunnen lezen en deze te vertalen naar een slagpartij. Repertoire Je bereidt tenminste drie stukken in verschillende tempi voor. Bij voorkeur toon je dat je verschillende stijlen beheerst. Op je auditie laat je zien dat je zowel je plectrum- als tokkeltechniek voldoende beheerst. Je kunt en mag jezelf dus ook begeleiden op akoestisch gitaar. In je repertoirekeuze moet de gitaar de hoofdrol vervullen: niet alleen als begeleidend instrument. De voorkeur gaat uit naar een voor gitaar geschreven compositie waarin ruimte moet zijn voor een geïmproviseerde solo.
> Home > Education > Bachelors > Music in Education Toelating basgitaar/contrabas Toelating Basgitaar/contrabas Docent Muziek Je bent in staat om op een eenvoudig akkoordenschema zelf een effectieve baspartij te bedenken, waarbij je rekening houdt met stijleigen kenmerken. De stijl waarin je het uit moet voeren krijg je tijdens je auditie te horen. Denk hierbij bijvoorbeeld aan: reggae, rock, funk etc. Op het toelatingsexamen speel je 3 nummers, waarin je laat zien in welke stijl(en) je bent geïnteresseerd en welke techniek(en) je beheerst. Je mag deze stukken uitvoeren met andere muzikant(en) of met een begeleidingstrack. Er wordt gekeken naar de volgende onderdelen: Techniek linker- en rechterhandtechniek timing sound Creativiteit eigen interpretatie van partijen zelf baslijnen kunnen verzinnen samenspel Lezen akkoordschema’s lezen Theorie inzicht op de hals kennis van akkoorden en symbolen kennis van toonladders zoals majeur, mineur, pentatonisch kennis van ritmische onderverdeling Gehoor tonen kunnen naspelen een melodie kunnen naspelen verschil tussen majeur en mineur horen Visie je doelen en wensen je interesses Aanvullend voor Contrabas : In het geval je kunt strijken (niet verplicht!), bereid dan iets voor waarmee je deze vaardigheid laat horen.
> Home > Education > Bachelors > Music in Education Toelating drums/percussie Toelating drums/percussie Docent Muziek Techniek • Je bent in staat grooves te spelen in verschillende stijlen (zoals pop, funk, reggae, shuffle, jazz, latin) met onafhankelijkheid in variaties, nuances voor alle 4 de instrumenten / ledematen: cymbal, bassdrum, Snaredrum, hihat-voet. • Je beheerst Snaredrum Rudiments, zoals open-roll, press-roll, paradiddles, flam. Ook vertaald naar het drumstel. • Je kunt ritmes lezen tot triolen. Ook kun je een "One-liner to drumset" interpreteren. Repertoire • Je bereidt tenminste drie stukken voor in verschillende stijlen, zoals hierboven genoemd. • Je kunt deze diverse stijlen in muziek herkennen en de gewenste groove adequaat meespelen. • Ook improviseren moet aan bod komen. Als fill, 2 maten, 4 maten, bluesschema, op een melodisch of ritmisch thema. Percussie • Conga: tumbao op 2 conga's, 6/8-ste en pop • Djembe: 4/4-de en 6/8ste origineel of popversies

Tevens de chromatische toonladder over drie octaven. • Je bereidt een etude voor uit bijvoorbeeld: - P. Jeanjean; Etudes Progressives et Mélodiques, deel 1. - M. Bitsch; Douze Etudes de Rythme. - E. Gates; Odd meter etudes Repertoire Je bereidt tenminste drie voordrachtstukken voor, liefst uit verschillende stijlperioden. Naast klassiek repertoire eventueel ook jazz, pop of klezmer. Klassiek bijvoorbeeld uit: - Niels Gade; Fantasiestücke - Mozart; duetten naar Le Nozze di Figaro (Schott) De repertoire- en etudevoorbeelden zijn indicatief. Een andere, eigen keuze, is natuurlijk mogelijk. Bij alle onderdelen wordt gelet op o.a.: • Beheersing algemene techniek, adem en houding. • Muzikale presentatie, toonkwaliteit en toepassing van stijlkenmerken van het uitgevoerde repertoire.

Je bereidt een etude voor uit bijvoorbeeld: - Köhler, op. 33 deel II of III - 50 Classical studies for Flute, Universal Edition, UE 14672 Repertoire Je bereidt tenminste drie voordrachtstukken voor, liefst uit verschillende stijlperioden. Naast klassiek repertoire eventueel ook jazz, pop en/of latin. Bij alle onderdelen wordt o.a. gelet op: - Beheersing algemene techniek, adem en houding. - Muzikale presentatie, toonkwaliteit en toepassing van stijlkenmerken van het uitgevoerde repertoire.

The candidate should preferably play an instrument from the organic instrumentation of the concert band and should be familiar with the concert band and fanfare repertoire. Conducting the 2nd Suite by G. Holst or an equivalent composition of your choice (dry, or with two pianos), one or two movements of which should be performed from memory. Only for students with practical experience: rehearsal of a work of your own choice (in 20 min.) with a harmony orchestra. Choral Conducting Candidates must submit a repertoire list Study of work specified in advance by the committee and a work of their own choice); the choir is formed by choral conducting students and the entrance examination candidates. Singing a portion of choral literature; topics include phrasing, text handling, purity, à vue singing, etc. Taking an aural test in the context of choral conducting; reading ability, knowledge of chords, recognition of mistakes, rhythmic skills, etc. will be addressed. Motivation and knowledge of the profession are discussed during an interview. Orchestra Conducting The candidate should be able to expressively convey musical intentions through plastic body language Conducting and rehearsing of Beethoven 1 (first movement), Brahms 2 (second movement) & Bartok, intermezzo from concerto for orchestra An interview on repertoire knowledge and motivation will also take place during the entrance examination Note Excellent hearing is a requirement for the principal subject of orchestral conducting; part of the entrance examination is the separate solfège exam, in which the candidate must be able to notate polyphonic melodic dictations and chords.

Submission of composition portfolio: You must submit your composition portfolio by uploading a Google Drive link to your files in the Osiris application form , under the section Uploads. You may additionally include separate links to videos (for example, YouTube or Vimeo). Make sure all links are set to public access so the admissions committee can view your materials without any issues Clearly indicate the department , study program , and your first and last name in the portfolio title and in all uploaded files (including your motivation letter and other materials). Example: Classical Music – Bachelor Composition – John Doe Live Audition The live audition will start with a short presentation of 5 to 10 minutes from the candidates about their most representative compositions. After that, there will be a discussion with the committee about the portfolio that the candidates have submitted which includes works, scores, arrangements, and a motivation letter. The candidates do not need to prepare any practical performance on your instrument.
