We have now taken a number of additional steps to improve social safety and further enhance the work and learning culture. We believe it is good to be transparent about the process and progress.
- A new two-member interim board consisting of Renate Eringa and Mieke de Vos. Strengthening social safety has been specifically identified as a joint responsibility of both of them and part of their administrative portfolios.
- The need for improvement was most urgent in the Conservatory cluster (World Music, Jazz, Pop and Classical Music). Therefore, Bureau Integriteit (Bureau Integrity) is conducting an external imaging research and an internal analysis has been carried out. We will get to work immediately on the improvement points that emerge from this research.
- In addition to the existing Student Life programme, aimed at optimising the mental and physical health of students, a Staff Life programme for employees has been established.
- We are going to communicate more and better. Internally, among ourselves and with the outside world. Providing clarity and listening better to signals and needs is essential to achieve a better learning and working environment. We are also giving the organisation the means to do this by professionalising and expanding the communications department.
