The EAIE conference is organized by the European Association for International Education (EAIE), a non-profit association with more than 3,000 members inside and outside Europe. Based in Amsterdam, this knowledge center aims to connect higher education professionals, share knowledge and promote international collaborations. The conference brings educational institutions from different countries together in a very efficient and effective way. The program offers workshops, presentations and networking events, among other things.
Already since 2017, Codarts together with its partners Erasmus University Rotterdam, Hogeschool Inholland, Hogeschool Rotterdam, Thomas Moore, Rotterdam Partners and the municipality of Rotterdam have had the ambition to organize this annual conference in Rotterdam. That it has now succeeded offers great opportunities to raise our profile and show how education is shaped here.
Last year the 32nd edition of the EAIE took place in Barcelona. The 6300 visitors from more than 90 countries showed that this event belongs in the largest cities in the world. No wonder they chose Rotterdam as their next destination!
This year's theme is 'connecting currents'; freely translated into 'connect currents'. With this, the organization wants to celebrate the maritime history of Rotterdam.
