BIG JAM brings together students from all Codarts departments for an interdepartmental jam session. Meet students from other disciplines, play together and see what happens when different creative worlds come together.
On Friday 25 and Sunday 27 September, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem will fill the Main Hall of de Doelen. Conducted by Lahav Shani, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra performs one of Verdi’s most moving and dramatic works together with the Codarts choir. From moments of profound stillness to the overwhelming power of the famous Dies Irae , Verdi combines sacred music with the emotion and intensity of opera. The orchestra is joined by the Laurens Symfonisch Koor and soloists Aleksandra Kurzak, Annalisa Stroppa, Dmytro Popov and Georg Zeppenfeld. Buy tickets here .

Led by bandoneon player and composer Santiago Cimadevilla, Master’s students from across the world present a programme filled with passion, rhythm and the spirit of Argentina. The concert features a variety of ensembles, including piano, guitar, strings, bandoneons and woodwinds. Teachers from the department will also perform alongside the students in the large tango orchestra.
