Study programme
During your study, you are trained to be a versatile (circus) artist. After the four- year programme, you can start working as a member of a collective or as an independent performer.
Study programme

During your studies, the programme will already introduce you to professional networks such as FEDEC and Circostrada, and you will take part in festivals like Rotterdam Circusstad, Cirque Mania, PERPLX and CIRCa (Auch). Each year, both local and international initiatives offer opportunities to participate in projects.
Through our partners, you will have the chance to get to know circus workspaces and professional structures. Codarts Circus Arts has established long-term collaborations with Circusnext – European Circus Label, Theater op de Markt, Korzo – Cirque Mania, and PERPLX.
After graduation, you can work as a member of a collective or as an independent artist. Many alumni are active in professional Dutch production houses such as Panama Pictures, Scapino Ballet, TENT, and Boost. Circunstruction follows students throughout their studies and supports them after graduation in its creation workspace.
In the international field, more and more graduates are joining contemporary circus companies. Examples include: Grensgeval and Circus Ronaldo (Belgium), Seven Fingers and Cirque Éloize (Canada), Cie XY and Cie L’MRG’ée (France), Fabrica C (Italy), and Compañía de Circo “eia” (Spain).
Artists who chose to work independently have received awards on international stages such as the BNG Circus Prize, Young Stage Festival in Basel, Atoll Festival in Karlsruhe, and 30CC in Leuven.
Just like Tall Tales Acrobatics and Circus Katoen, a growing number of alumni are now founding their own collectives, such as Janus, Knot on Hands, Tooling Bodies, Company Sinking Sideways, and Company Trenina.
