Saxophone teacher Tineke Postma has been invited to play during the main concert of International Jazz Day 2019 in Melbourne (Australia) on 30 April. She plays there and then with Herbie Hancock, among others, the piece Beauty and the Beast by her hero Wayne Shorter.

Flutist Nathalie Theiller won the jury prize of € 1,500 from the Prix d'Harmonie 2019 on Sunday 14 April. The shared audience award was for Ruben Plazier (piano) and Konstantinos Sifakis (double bass); both received € 500.
