Admission requirements jazz trombone

Master

  • Relevant knowledge of jazz or jazz-related repertoire.
  • Able to play and perform any jazz-standard, to improvise over any given standard chord-progression.
  • Show some motivation or actual work to become a significant soloist in the jazz(- related) field; own repertoire, or arrangements of existing repertoire, own bands or projects, if possible recordings or plans to record your own band or repertoire.
  • Show motivation and willingness to explore all kinds of music-styles and significant soloists , think and play outside your own comfort zone, in order to grow as a musician, soloist and personality.
