The study programme at Codarts Jazz consists of the following areas: 

Artistic development

In this, everything is focused on technical and artistic development. In a performing major, your instrument or voice takes center stage. If your heart lies with songwriting, production or composition, you choose a creative major.

Ensemble

You will learn all about collaboration in regular ensembles and shorter projects. Together with your group members, you will discover how to play well together musically. But you'll also learn to work together effectively as a group.

Context and Research

In this course you gain knowledge and insight into musical structures, train your ear and develop your analysis skills. And you will learn about the most important musical movements of the past and present.

Professional Development

Here you develop essential skills for a professional. From study skills and entrepreneurship to physical and mental development, digital skills and teaching.

Profile Space

Here you can deepen or broaden your artistic profile of your choice. At Codarts you can choose from approximately 60 minors.

Exchange

You can choose an exchange to one of our partner institutes in Europe and beyond. The third year of study is ideal for this.
