Why do you believe students should come to Codarts?
Codarts has highly qualified teachers from all over the world who are all experts in their fields. Students develop their artistic skills in a positive, vibrant atmosphere. The school administration is responsive to changing conditions of our time and recognize the needs of both students and teachers. That improves the educational quality.
What are you going to teach them?
In addition to bağlama playing skills, I teach regionally appropriate playing styles known as “yöresel tavır” in Turkish. The list of songs to be practiced are determined for each year and they are also arranged from easiest to the most difficult songs. After finishing all the repertoire we add more difficult musical pieces requiring virtuosity.
How are you going to teach them?
Regarding each of them as unique individuals I teach my students according to their own need and ability. I give one-to-one lessons when necessary. I like to make myself also available outside lessons. We share information and music sample videos with each other. I expect my students to have a working discipline and passion for excellence.
