Marijn van der Linden


Marijn van der Linden (Curaçao 1981) is the ambassador of the cavaquinho in the Netherlands. From the age of six he plays the guitar and he graduated at Tilburg Conservatory in 2005. His teachers were Luciana Rabello, Mauricio Carrilho, Nelson Faria, Jayme Vignoli, Hamilton de Holanda, Nelson Veras, Sylvain Luc, Henrique Cazes, Randal Corsen and others. He also plays seven string guitar and cavaquinho in different groups and projects such as the Lilian Vieira Grupo and Roda da Holanda for which he also composes. In 2012 he founded the Choro school “Escola Portatil de Musica Holanda”, the first Brazilian music school in Europe focused on choro music, where besides teacher he’s director. It works very well as a preparation for future studies at Codarts!
