Motivation

Why do you believe students should come to Codarts?

“For the last thirty years, Codarts has produced a large number of successful trumpet players, all of which are still active in the music world. Because the teachers in our team are active at the highest European level, we are able to help players with diverse talents or preferences in their development.”

What will you teach them?

“Together with Jarmo Hoogendijk and Wim Both, I try to build a good technical basis, especially when it comes to improvising. I also make an education programme that fits the student’s wishes.”

How will you do this?

“Mainly by playing together a lot! By using my own broad background as a starting point, I try to inspire students in their search for a direction that fits them.”
