There is no denying that the Metal scene is a true (inter)national phenomenon with a huge fanbase. The Netherlands too has world-renowned Metal legends with a wealth of experience, skills in inspiring stories. Among students of the Pop department of Codarts Conservatory, this is a popular genre. Therefore, as the first college in music education, the project 'Metal Day' was conceived. These students receive guidance and coaching from well-known names from the Metal scene, culminating in their own concert in Baroeg.

The guidance and coaching is in the hands of Chrysa Tsaltampasi (extreme metal vocals), Joost van der Graaf (Bass guitar - Pestilence), Isaac deLaHaye (Guitar - Epica) and Ariën van Weesenbeek (Drums - Epica).
