Master

A candidate for the Turkish Music Master programme:

 

  • Should deliver a (detailed) plan concerning the Artistic Research question (s) he/she wants to investigate during his/her master studies at Codarts World Music,
  • sSould deliver a logbook handout of his/her personal performance and other activities history (such as workshops, research, portfolio of another artistic outcome in case of a double degree proposal etc.)
  • Should deliver links at YouTube and/or audio files with his/her recordings,
  • Possesses a bachelor in music degree or equivalent,
  • Has an appropriate level in his instrument of choice, that should be demonstrated with performances of both composition and improvisations on the desired area of study (Anatolian Folk, Ottoman Music or modal music of other eastern Mediterranean and middle eastern cultures),
  • Has understanding and ability to comprehend (on a bachelor in music degree level) of western music theory and practice,
  • Should plays for a committee a few extended pieces of relevant repertoire. (Free choice of repertoire)
