This past term, first-year students in the Music Theatre program have been working on the project ‘Let me be your voice’.
For this assignment, they make their voices available to the stories of others. Often enough, performers draw inspiration from their own experiences; for this assignment, they seek it outside of themselves. They went looking for stories of others that needed to be told. Their starting point was the theme “unexpected heroes”.
In groups of four, the students made a Musical Theatre film of fifteen minutes. They chose the material – existing or self-made – themselves.
In addition to their performance qualities, they also showed their skills in, for example, the role of editor, coordinator, clothing, camera, sound, music, and head of script.
