corrie hartong fonds

The Corrie Hartong Fonds aims to contribute to the development of dance, specifically by providing financial support to dance students at Codarts.

The fund awards a scholarship each year to unusually talented students at Codarts. A student is nominated by the school’s artistic manager and receives a stipend after the dance management team of Codarts has been consulted.

Students who have successfully completed their first year and received their ‘propedeuse’ may also directly apply for financial support from the Corrie Hartong Fonds. For example, students might request support for a promising dance project, an extra course, an internship, or continued education abroad. Financial support from the fund always supplements funding from other sources.

Donations

Donations to the fund are welcome: account number 313061 (ING) in the name of the Corrie Hartong Fonds. Contributions to the fund are used entirely to support dance students.

ANBI
The Corrie Hartong Fonds has been designated as an ANBI for Dutch tax law, that is an institution with charitable status. Therefore donors can deduct gifts from their income or company tax (in accordance with the rules applicable).

'Thank you'

Thanks to a financial contribution from the Corrie Hartong Fonds, Benedikt MacIsaac (20) from Canada – fourth year student in the Bachelor of Dance programme, specialisation Choreography – was able to do an internship in Frankfurt for two months (October and November 2008), with the renowned choreographer William Forsythe. In his report to the fund Benedikt writes: 'I gained many new insights into the art of dance, having an inspirational and wonderful experience. I now have a fresh and invigorating desire to create art. It was an experience of a lifetime. I cannot thank you enough for your support.'
