IELTS6 level
It is essential for the progress of the study for all enrolled students to possess sufficient reading, writing and conversational levels in English. The course material of the Master is given in English and the group sessions are taught in English. For master’s courses, the international IELTS6 is employed as the standard. If the candidate cannot submit an IELTS6 declaration, he/she has to take part in an English test to be organised by the course, in which their English reading and writing level will be assessed. There are three possible outcomes:
- The candidate scores IELTS6 or higher: based on this result the candidate can be admitted, as long as the other requirements are satisfied.
- The candidate scores between IELTS5 and IELTS6: all candidates with a score between IELTS5 and IELTS6 are obliged to take part in a course programme which lasts about two months. At the end of this programme an English test will be taken again. These students can be directly admitted to the department, as long as the other requirements are satisfied.
- The candidate scores lower than IELTS5: candidates with a score which is lower than IELTS 5 have to take instruction elsewhere before the beginning of the study, so that they are capable of passing the English test with a score of at least IELTS 5. After assessment by the directors, these candidates can be conditionally admitted.
